Mohács area on water and two wheels

"Mohács I", a 50-seat passenger catamaran for passenger and bicycle transportation was put in operation in year 2019, the boat was built in Hungary, co-financed by „Bike&Boat” project (ID: HUHR/1601/2.1.1/0003).

The length of the boat is 20 m, 0.8 m draught. Travel speed is 35 km/h.

With the arrival of the "Mohács I" pleasure boat, we can get acquainted with the built and natural sights of the area on water and on two wheels.

Attractions accessible by the “Mohács I” pleasure boat:

  • Sátorhely – Mohács Historical Memorial Site;

  • Béda-Karapancsa – wetland area of Danube-Drava National Park representing high natural asset;

  • Gemenc nature protection area – Hungary's unique wildlife floodplain forest;

  • Baja – the largest town at the Lower Danube, rich in built heritage, with a well-equipped public harbour;

  • Batina (HR) – Eastern tip of Croatian Baranja, rich in ethnographic values;

  • Aljmaš – Kopački rit (HR) - unique flora and fauna, one of Europe's most important bird breeding sites;

  • Beli Manastir (HR) – centre of Croatian Baranja;

  • Vukovar (HR) – largest town on the Danube in Croatia;

  • Ilok (HR) - the centre of the Srijem wine-growing area;

  • Apatin (SRB) - Upper Podunavlje special nature reserve, protected area preserved in its original status, similar to Béda-Karapancsa and Kopački rit, with rich flora and fauna.

Boat rental possibility: “Mohács I” pleasure boat is an ideal venue for various events:

  • meetings and monitoring visits of environmental protection, water management bodies.

The vehicle can take 48 tourists and 2 staff at the same time, capacity of a bus, with a deck capable of carrying 10-15 bikes.

“Mohács I” is accessible for people with disabilities, heated, air-conditioned, twenty-meter long catamaran equipped with large panoramic windows, anti-fall barriers, radar, navigation system and other modern instruments. The boat is equipped with wi-fi, large screen smart TV, sound system and podium.
